Brazilian Business Visa Requirements:
Email Requirements
A valid passport and visa are required to travel to this destination.
1 Passport Requirements:

Original, signed US passport valid for 6 months beyond stay in Brazil, and with at least one blank visa page available for Brazilian visa stamp. Amendment pages in the back of the passport are not suitable for visa stamps. Applicants within Houston jurisdiction must provide two blank visa pages side by side.
2 Brazilian Visa Application Form:

One original Brazil visa application per applicant properly completed on-line, printed and signed, plus one copy. Only on-line Brazilian visa applications are accepted. Signature must be original on printed Brazil visa application receipt.
Note: Improperly completed Brazil visa application forms may delay the processing of your visa. To fill in the on-line form select "Visa Request" and follow the steps. Every question must be answered. The signature must be inside the signature box on the receipt page. The form will expire within 30 days; the visa application must be submitted within that time or a new on-line Brazil visa application form must be completed and printed. The Brazilian Consulate will only accept on-line visa application forms. Residents of CT and RI must have signature on application receipt notarized.
3 Photo Requirements:

One recent 2 x 2 passport type photograph, in color, front view and with a plain/light background.

5 Official Invitation from Brazil:

For applicants within Atlanta, Houston and Los Angeles jurisdictions: A letter of invitation from sponsoring company in Brazil, on company letterhead, explaining the relationship to the applicant, the purpose of travel and indicating the length of stay, place of stay, and contact information. In Atlanta, this letter must be written in Portuguese.
For applicants within Chicago jurisdiction A letter of invitation from sponsor may be requested by the consulate. In such cases, this letter must be notarized in Brazil. A copy can be submitted if the seal from the Brazilian notary is legible.
6 Business Letter:

Original letter from employer or sponsoring company, on company letterhead, introducing the applicant, indicating the applicant's employment status/position held in the company, and clearly stating the purpose of visit to Brazil. It is extremely important that the business letter includes the statement that "no technical work or assistance" will be provided during stay in Brazil. The business letter must also indicate who will be financially responsible for the applicant and must provide detailed contact information in host country. For applicants within Miami and Atlanta jurisdictions: Business letter must be notarized.

7 Proof Of Departure:

8 Medical Requirements:

New York - Visas are processed in 5 to 7 business days. Rush processing is up to 5 business days.

5 Official Invitation from Brazil:

for applicants in Chicago Jurisdiction only:A host letter is required for individuals traveling to Brazil as tourists who are not staying in a hotel. The letter must be provided by the host(s) in Brazil, addressed to the Consulate of Brazil in Chicago and signed and stamped with seal by a Cartório (Notary) in Brazil. The letter must contain the following information about the host in Brazil:
(1) Full name(s),
(2)Complete address and contact information,
(3) Host's ID number if Brazilian citizen or visa status and nationality if not a citizen,
(4)Reason why the host is living or staying in Brazil (if not a Brazilian citizen),
(5)Host's relationship to the applicant (including explanation for how they know eachother),
(6) Profession or occupation,
(7) Employer's name,
(8) Explanation of the purpose of the visit.
This letter can be written in English or Portuguese. A copy can be submitted if the seal from the Brazilian notary is legible.

7 Minors:

The following documents must be notarized and submitted with any application for a minor child (under 18), and the minor should also carry a copy of these documents with the passport: A notarized copy of the birth certificate and a notarized Letter of Consent signed by each parent listed on the birth certificate (or legal guardian) authorizing the Brazilian consulate to issue a visa to the minor. Proof of guardianship must be submitted and carried if applicable. Both letter of consent and guardianship document must be authenticated by the Consular Service of the Brazilian Consulate.
Atlanta jurisdiction: Letter of Consent Form completed in duplicate with two photos attached. In addition, 2 application forms, each signed by both parents and notarized. For children 3 months to 6 years old, a certificate of vaccination against polio.
Chicago jurisdiction:
Letter of Consent Form (for minor traveling without parent(s).
Letter of Consent Form (for minor traveling with one or more parent).

Atlanta, Chicago and Miami Jurisdiction: evidence of sufficient funds to support stay in destination such as a copy of most recent bank statement showing a minimum balance of $1,000. In Miami jurisdiction, a copy of 3 most recent bank statements is required.
Washington DC jurisdiction: most recent bank statement is required for applicants who are entering and departing Brazil by land.

8 Minors:

Please note: Applicants within Chicago and Los Angeles jurisdictions must include a copy of the Ministry of Labor approval as well as the telex number and date that the original was submitted to the Consulate.
6 Business Letter:

Notarized business cover letter addressed to the Brazilian Consulate explaining the purpose of the trip in detail, and the nature of duties to be performed in exact detail, guaranteeing financial support for the applicant while in Brazil, and return transportation.

Brazil Visa Validity:

The Embassy of Brazil issues Temp II visas to Crew members. Temp II visas are usually valid for up to 5 years (in San Francisco visas are issued for up to 2 years) and allow a maximum stay of 90 days per entry to Brazil. The visa validity however will always be at the discretion of the Brazilian Consulate.
Brazilian Visa Processing Time:

(Rush processing is not available except where listed)
Atlanta - Visas are processed in 20 to 23 business days.
Chicago - Visas are processed in 12 business days.
Houston - Visas are processed in 18 business days. Rush processing is up to 12 business days.
Los Angeles - Visas are processed in 13 to 15 business days.
Miami - Visas are processed in 18 to 20 business days. Rush processing is up to 17 business days.
New York - Visas are processed in 5 to 7 business days. Rush processing is up to 5 business days.
NY/Connecticut (Residents of CT and RI) - Visas are processed in 10 to 15 business days.
San Francisco - An appointment is required in advance, please call (415) 837-0771. Processing cannot begin until after the appointment date.
Washington DC - Visas are processed in 10 business days.
In order to ensure that visa applications for most embassies/consulates are submitted on the day that we receive them, they should be shipped to us via FedEx Priority Overnight (not First Overnight or Standard Overnight).
Non-refundable tickets or reservations should not be purchased until all visas and passports are secured and in your possession.
